It's a shame that most babies don't realize how entertaining they are. I'm in Minnesota taking care of my sister and her husband while they attend to the baby. The baby is just now starting to look at his surroundings. It's still firmly in the "cry, eat, and poop" phase. However, the baby has provided us with endless amusement.
Is this the most flattering picture in the first week of Lorenz' life? No. Is it accurate in that Sis' eyes are closed, Mark looks exhausted, and Lorenz is barely holding off a crying jag with a look of "if you don't feed me in five minutes, I'm having a meltdown"? Yes! Zoom into the photo to get the full effect. I was in Minnesota to capture some moments in Lorenz's first and second week.
In 2013, my nephew Lorenz gave me a homemade book of some of the travels that we had been on together.

And the other big unfortunate is that there is a great picture of Lorenz with a huge smile, but the photo came out blurry.
I posted this photo as an experiment. Does my mother ever visit my site? My hope is that she starts hearing "nice photo" from her brothers and sisters before she finds this. It is a good photo of Lorenz. And just to help her out, I bumped the date up to something more recent.
This year, Sis and I are both in New York, so we got to spend Christmas together. She came down for Thanksgiving, so we decided it would be appropriate if we came up for Christmas.
In August of 2006, my sister, Christine, came to New York for a conference with my five month old nephew, Lorenz. We got him to ourselves over the weekend, so we hired a baby-sitter: the sitter of a friend of ours, Rhonda. And to add to the excitement, Gogo and Oz's breeder came to town on Saturday with her husband and their 8 month old baby, Ian. It was to be known as...
